The surveying, mapping and information technology is rapidly changing
during the last decade. The advanced technology development in both
hardware and software can be realized in the field of ground surveying,
photogrammetry and remote sensing, geodetic surveying, geographic
information systems (GIS), and sattlelite surveying especially the
Global Positioning System (GPS). This development leads to a so called
modern surveying which offers a fast more reliable, more accurate
and precise, and much more convenience alternative to conventional
surveying practice in Thailand for the time being. Realizing its potential
the survey engineers at the Epsilon Co., Ltd. which is an engineering
consulting firm, decided to set up a subsidiary company named “NuMAP”
in July 1994. |
 |
Since the inception of the NuMAP Co., Ltd. The founders whose
experiences in the field of surveying and mapping more than ten years
are very active and devoted. Not only projects of government and private
sector of various sizes are successfully accomplished, but in house
research and development are also simultaneously carried out. For
example, an image processing in photogrammetry NuMAP has employed
computer technique instead of conventional reproduction and darkroom
technique that would take much more time and cost. NuMAP also acquired
modern surveying equipment e.g. the global positioning system (GPS)
for sattlelite surveying, distomat for distance measurement by laser,
total station theodolite with electronic fieldbook, AO digitizer and
AO inkjet plotter etc. Regarding personal development, NuMAP policy
is to send our technical people to attend national and international
technical congress, conferences and various training courses regularly.
At present it can be said that NuMAP can offer services covering the
whole spectrum of surveying and mapping field. |
